COLD IN JULY is a stunning, dark, and tense novel and you know what? The movie is string enough to stand on its own l, but the Lansdale foundation shines through. Exactly one complaint: While I enjoyed the soundtrack, sometimes the volume of the music overwhelms the rest of the film.
